The story itself was fair, but the book was so poorly edited it was distracting. The wording was very stilted and awkward It seemed as though the book was written a foreign language and translated without changing the structure of the sentences.

Loose Ends The Davenport Mysteries eBook VS VASHIST Reviews

The grammar and spelling could use proofreading. Story itself was good, but you have to over look a large amount of errors.
It's pretty obvious English is not the author's first language. While the story is good it's really hard to get beyond the numerous spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes and omissions. The author would do well to invest in a good proofreadeer/editor. With a bit of help s/he could go a long way.
Writing about two cases being investigated at the same can be tricky but this is just downright confusing. The switching between cases bogs down. There are numerous grammatical errors which contribute to the difficulty in enjoying this book,
Couldn't get past the 2nd chapter. Incomplete sentences make for stilted reading. Having to stop & add words
to a sentence for it to make sense removes the joy of sitting back with a good book. Either the writer needs to work on skills or the writer needs to procure a good editor ... probably both.
I couldn't finish this book. It is horribly written and edited. The spelling and grammatical errors took away any interest in the convulted story. The plot made no sense at all. I always try to finish because I hope the story will improve. There is no hope for this one.
The l!it's were OK but I was lost many times due to the use and/or misuse of words. I felt like there were too !any mistakes. Does anyone proof read books anymore? I liked the first book better. I don't like freaky serial killing crap so I need to read about these books better before I accept to read them. I found the ET crime to ridiculous and the other case not exciting it was hard for me to remain intetested. NMCOT (not my cup of tea)
I have never given a book a rating so low. The plot, two simultaneous investigation, is dismal. The investigations plod along to less than spectacular conclusions. The investigators spend pages wrapping up the endings because there are no connections. The writer uses the same descriptors and intersections repeatedly. In all, a supreme waste of time.
The story itself was fair, but the book was so poorly edited it was distracting. The wording was very stilted and awkward It seemed as though the book was written a foreign language and translated without changing the structure of the sentences.
